Welcome back to a whole week actually in Berlin! I've been doing a lot of traveling lately so it was nice to get back into the routine of things here and get some work done. I was definitely a bit sleepy on Monday but Tal and I did some work after classes before heading to Rewe for a motivational snack and some lunch. I headed to the other IES location for my afternoon classes which went by pretty quickly! I headed back home and made some Ramen for dinner which was perfect for the cold, dreary weather we've been having in Berlin. I also desperately need to go grocery shopping since I've been clearing out my fridge and pantry before I travel haha! I did a bit of work in the evening and did my laundry before calling it a night.
Slept in a bit on Tuesday and I woke up feeling much better since I've been a bit sick. I still didn't have much food at home so I went to a bakery on my way to classes. It was cool to check out a new place, especially since I walk by almost every day! My classes went well - we watched some of Unorthodox in my pop culture class which was fun. I watched the show right when it came out but that was 4 years ago so I didn't remember much. I might give it a rewatch here while I'm waiting for Arcane season 2 to come out! After classes, I headed back to my place and got a grocery list together. I really stocked up on some essentials which meant I had a heavy bag walking back. I did some homework for a while before making some dinner and more milchreis (rice pudding). I chatted with my brother for a bit then settled in to watch some TV before bed :)
I didn't have German class on Wednesday morning so I slept in a bit and grabbed some breakfast before heading to IES. I met up with Tal after they got out of class and we did some work together at IES. I headed to Rewe for a snack before taking the U-Bahn to the other IES location for my afternoon/evening classes. I headed home and made up a quick dinner before heading out to meet some friends. It was my friend Nat's birthday so we went out to a bar for some drinks and celebrations! I got back a bit late Wednesday night, but I didn't have class until 11 on Thursday so all was good.
Slept in again on Thursday and had a quick breakfast before heading to classes. My pop culture class got cancelled so I only had my business class which was a presentation day! After business, Paige, Giesela, Cece, and I went to get Bahn Mi for lunch. Paige and I then headed to a cute café near her place and did work for a while. I had the most delicious tea! I headed home from the café, made another quick dinner, and got ready to go to the Opera with IES! We saw Die Zauberflöte (the magic flute) and it was quite good! I really enjoyed the show and it didn't feel too long at all. It was also nice to have German and English subtitles going so I could practice my German. After the Opera, I went out with some friends to a bar. We only had one drink but it was pretty late after the Opera so I had to take the night bus home since the U-Bahns weren't running. I made it home pretty late and went to bed.
Slept in A LOT on Friday after a few late nights and had a chill morning/early afternoon before meeting Paige at a different café to do some work. We stayed there for a few hours before heading back to her place so she could do a quick zoom. We chatted a while after that before I headed back to my apartment and made some dinner. I finally had time to make a meal I had been planning so that was really great! I read some Game of Thrones, did some housekeeping, and some light work before settling in with a warm mug of tea and a show before bed.
I woke up on the earlier side on Saturday and met up with Willa to go to high tea at a café near us! We had some delicious tea and fun finger sandwiches and scones before heading out to walk through a farmer's market. We went separate ways since we both had museum plans - her at a small gallery and me to the Altes Museum. To be honest, I wasn't super entertained by the museum - it was mostly greek and roman antiquity stuff which isn't what I usually go for in a museum. I did enjoy the mythology section and being able to visit the museum which I've always seen from the outside (which was used in the filming of Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!). I was relatively close to a boba place I like so I stopped by there on my way home. I did some more reading, watched the new episodes of Arcane (I'm still reeling), and watched a movie before bed. Chill weekend after a lot of running around and traveling the past few weeks!

Made some breakfast and started a new book before diving into some work on Sunday. I have a few big presentations coming up so I was mostly doing research and going over notes. Petra and I were super popular today - so many people came in and out of the apartment - mostly just neighbors looking to borrow something or fix something. After a few hours of work, I took a break and ate some lunch. I decided to go for a walk and enjoy the bit of blue sky I could see outside! Unfortunately, I didn't really see the sun since it was already setting behind the buildings. It was still a good walk and good to get outside. I did some more work when I came back before Willa came over for dinner. She's looking to move into a new homestay next semester (she's staying the whole year) and wanted to come by and meet Petra and see the apartment. We had a good time and chatted a bunch before she headed back to her place. Petra and I watched the episode of Tatort (a German crime show) together before calling it a night!
